Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure to reshape the cartilage-bony skeleton of the nose usually by cutting inside the rim of the nostrils, so that the scar is invisible. As a result, the nose will look more in harmony and in better proportion with the rest of the face.
Am I a good candidate for the rhinoplasty? You may consider it if you are not satisfied with your nose appearance: you find it deviated, upturned, not in proportion... Any reason is acceptable as long as the patient suffers from discontent. The patient will have to keep in mind though that not everything can be done, the request will have to be realistic. The required minimum age for a rhinoplasty is at the end of puberty when the nose reaches its normal size. The psychological maturity of patients is also considered by the plastic surgeons in their decision to carry out the surgery or not. Required conditions: none
How is the surgery performed?

It varies depending on the required surgical correction: For the tip of the nose: the surgeon will reshape the cartilage by reducing or increasing its size with grafts (ear cartilage or nasal septum) For a hump: reduction of the bony excrescence For a long nose: reduction of the too developed nasal septum Very thin absorbable edges are used for the sutures, and drains are put into the nostrils for about 24 hours. A plaster will be placed on the nose for 8 to 10 days.
